- VDSL

Very high bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line. A newer flavor of DSL that enables speed of up to 100 Mbps for households within 1,000 feet of a central office. It is increasingly popular in dense population centers in Asia.
- VPN

Virtual Private Networking. A set of standards for forming secure connections over public networks such as the Internet. Often used to remotely connect to corporate networks. PPTP and IPSec are continuously competing to become the standard protocol for VPN.
